It came on top of a 318" with 2 barrel carb that was in a 1958 plymouth. I don't know if that engine is 1958 or not. The top piece has been sandblasted and I can't use it. I need another top piece but want to be sure what is correct. The engine is now going in a 1956 Plymouth. Also, will one from a 1956 Plymouth 270" engine fit? The underside of the top piece is 8" diameter.
thanks for reply.

What you have in today's photos is probably 54 or 55 or earlier.

Definitely not like a 55 or 56 Plymouth V8

To quote Nathan (Powerflite):

Powerflite - 2019-10-25 11:25 AM The last oil bath was used in 1956. Starting in '57, everything used an air filter.

What you have in today's photos is probably 54 or 55 or earlier because of that star burst on the top.
