I have begun a complete restoration of a '60 Dodge Matador sport coupe. I am sure I will have a few questions along the way, but first one that has come up is whether the 361 engine should be silver like it would have been in Desoto or Chrysler. I am assuming so, but before the engine goes back together and spraying starts, I figured I would ask. Someone painted the engine before me and its tough to tell.

The engine should be silver. Brackets and air cleaner should be black. FYI, 1960 Chrysler engines on US built cars were black, with gold a air cleaner. Canadian production 1960 Chrysler engines were silver with black brackets and air cleaner. DeSoto engines seemed to be all silver with black accessories.
