Location: Finland | I have noticed from pictures of these that if you draw a line at the under side of the door and it goes through both hub centers , it is optimal in my eyes...

people in the back seat would make it nose up ------------------------------------later

Location: northern germany | Of course level with a full tank, but nothing more. Of course it depends, but I'd be willing to bet the the majority of cars like this (esp. 2ds) are driven 95+% with no one in the back seat. So why adjust for back seat passengers? Nose up is not better than nose down and why drive around with the nose down all the time? Especially since these cars certainly do not need more weight on the front axle. Nose down shifts weight to the front. |

Location: Finland | Sometimes when people put new leaf spring package they imo destroy the looks of their car when the rear gets up in the skies....ouch.
I doubt my backseat will be fully loaded at any moment in the future..

Location: Parts Unknown | Just about every FL car I have ever rebuilt to driver status, I lower about 2", with a slight
nose-up stance. Running 15" wheels offsets this lowering a bit, but the whole idea is the
aesthetics of how the cars stands and how the wheels fill the wells. I hate cars with their
axx in the air, a result of seeing these poor cars fall into the hands of trailerpark trash back
in the day, who jacked them up in the back, thinking that was "cool". You are correct about
new springs often being supplied oversprung and looking bad. I build spring sets from old
leaves, adding more long ones to stiffen the pack, but not getting the lift that the oversprung
new springs give.

Yes, I googled it! But... it does not work the way I always thought it should, or exactly the other way around, IF it's described correctly in this vid. IMO an upward pressure on the front wheel should provide an upward pressure on the rear wheel too, otherwise It would make things worse and increase nose dip during braking and with the rear end loaded it would increase unwanted nose up rake. ????

Location: Finland | No Danny , you have the perfect ride height for a light custom. Here in Finland we have speed bumps that makes it impossible to go so low...at least without contact. |
