This looks decent. But you better know your 56 Adventurers pretty darn well. This one is going be quite the jigsaw puzzle/scavenger hunt.

I missed the 56 era transmission oil cooler going through those photos last week. Finally saw it today:

(the silver thing = trans oil lines run into this "pipe" that connects the water pump to the rad (plus a hose)):

I had a '55 Imperial 331 Hemi that had the same transmission cooler.

Yeah, the '55 Imperial 331 hemi in my Savoy had the oil cooler as well. I was thinking I would have to use it once I put in the newer trans, but my old replacement radiator happened to already have the fittings in the bottom of it, so I didn't have to.

My dad has been spending time organizing old family movies and I always remembered a 1956 DeSoto Adventurer that their friends had. It was before I was born but I'd always remember that car from the home movies because of the gold wheelcovers. He finally came across the movie with the car in it. Their friends lived in a trailer park in San Diego when living in a trailer park wasn't a bad thing. Their trailer was probably way better than my parent's house at the time. My mom says everyone would hang out there as they threw great parties.

Unfortunately the quality of the movie is really poor as it was transferred to VHS tape using a dodgy process and then from VHS to DVD. Most of the color has been lost but the car is just as I remember and matches this one for sale. Heck, it might even be the same car.
