Location: McComb, Mississippi | Got a howling noise coming from the rear axle. Assuming, it's just the bearings, what would be a normal price range to rebuild the center section? It's a non sure grip diff. I will remove the unit from the axle housing to give to the shop for rebuilding. I have no experience with these rear axles other than replacing a leaky pinion seal. Any guidance is appreciated.

Location: Chestertown, NY ( near Lake George) | If the ring and pinion are bad, it gets expensive , just bearings and set up is about 4 hours bench time, plus parts. In my shop 450.00, including overhaul kit.
