300F for $6999 with cross ram. Might be a candidate to finish this turquoise one off right and then resell it or part it out.

Location: Chattanooga | And it came from the factory as a white car. Love the color, but not original. To me, that would knock the value down a little bit more. |

Hergfest: Did the turquoise 300 Gs really exist?
Can you post more pictures of this?

| If it was a color matched car it would get interesting. I like how they call it a rare color, when it's a repaint haha |

Location: Branson, MO | I really don't mind the color as it's appealing to me and different. From what I can tell, whoever did the restoration did a very decent job in my opinion. My preference is a 300F or a 300H in that order though. |

Bummer is that F and G rams are different. F rams have that pin for the throttle return spring and the G rams have brackets off the carb base for the return spring. Interesting that this car still has the cross-ram brake booster though. For driveability, the 4bbl makes more sense, almost did our's with a NY intake, but finally opted for the rams.

have to pay quite a sum to get it off my property.... lol |

Location: DFW, TX | In my opinion, the 300s were always held back by the relatively boring color combinations. I mean, they look great, but "white with a beige interior" is a hallmark of 2020 cars, not '50s and '60s cars.
This car is a real letter car with a very stylish color combination, so IMO it is improved. But that's just an opinion. I agree it needs its cross ram intake back, but I could be happy cruising it with the hood shut and cold A/C blowing. Nice ride.

Location: Ferndale, WA 98248 | Here's my 10 year project in the making, my Tahitian Turquoise 61 Newport / 300 G tribute car.
I left the Newport trim on it because (1) I like it (2) for people who know these cars it immediately identifies it is not real 300G, and (3) I didn't want to deal with all the body work with the holes if we took it off.
It just recently got the entire drivetrain from a 71 New Yorker: 440, 727 with part throttle kickdown, driveline with 2 u-joints, and its 8 3/4 rear without tapered bearings. The 440 really likes the cross rams!
I have the complete interior from a 300G (swivel seats, door panels, full console with tach), but it all needs to be redone. Its next stop will be the upholstery shop.

What color are you going on the 300 interior?

Location: Ferndale, WA 98248 | I'll do the interior in the standard tan and black. The seats may get the 300F pattern like the car that started this thread. I suspect the 300G waffle pattern will cost more than my budget. |
