That sounds like the VIN tag, not the data tag so we can't tell much from what you are giving us to work with.

Looks like a 1958 Plymouth Plaza or Savoy wagon (Suburban) that was built at the Evansville plant with a flat head six. Those cars had VINs that started with LP1E-1001, so your was the 2891st later.

Photos are good. < 250kB and .jpg not .jpeg.

Good job posting the photos (many first timers fail because of >250kB or .jpeg).

Okay, the body number tag is real (separate from the VIN tag) (see below). That said, we can't tell you much from either of those. *IF* you can find the cowl *DATA* tag, that is where the info lies. See atached 57 and 58 Dodge example cowl data tags.

I think that there are three choices:

1. Firewall, passenger side
2. Inner fender passenger side
3. Rad support, probably passenger side

Your car is one of these?

There are two-digit numbers in the cowl tag:
First of the number means model:

1 = Plaza
3 = Savoy
5 = Belvedere
7 = Suburban Wagons
9 = Fury

The second number means body type:

0 = 2door Business Sedan
1 = 2door Sedan
2 = 2door Hardtop
3 = 4door Sedan
4 = 4door Hardtop
5 = Convertible
Suburban Wagons have separate numbers – see below…

Possible combos of the model line:

10 = Plaza 2door Business Sedan
11 = Plaza 2door Sedan
13 = Plaza 4door Sedan
70 = Plaza Deluxe Suburban 2door Station Wagon, 6P
71 = Plaza Deluxe Suburban 4door Station Wagon, 6P

31 = Savoy 2door Sedan
32 = Savoy 2door Hardtop
33 = Savoy 4door Sedan
34 = Savoy 4door Hardtop
72 = Savoy Custom Suburban 2door Station Wagon, 6P
73 = Savoy Custom Suburban 4door Station Wagon, 6P
74 = Savoy Custom Suburban 4door Station Wagon, 9P

51 = Belvedere 2door Sedan
52 = Belvedere 2door Hardtop
53 = Belvedere 4door Sedan
54 = Belvedere 4door Hardtop
55 = Belvedere Convertible
75 = Belvedere Sport Suburban 4door Station Wagon, 6P
76 = Belvedere Sport Suburban 4door Station Wagon, 9P

92 = Fury 2door Hardtop

***
So, your car has body code 11 and it is a Plaza 2door Sedan (Club Sedan)
I posted picture of Evansville-built Belvedere Convertible (code 55) below

"The code letters L, M, and H were used internally and did not appear in the cars' serial numbering system, which was also changed to reflect the new model codes. Under the new system serial numbers began with the first two code letters-L for 1958, P for Plymouth, followed by numbers "1" or "2" to designate 6- or 8-cylinder power. Serial numbers for all series began at 1001 and worked their way up. To designate which assembly plant the vehicle had been built in another code letter was added behind the model designation-except on Detroit-built cars. Thus, a 6-cylinder car built at Detroit would read LP1-1001, while a similar car built in Evansville had a serial number of LP1E-1001. These code letters were simple enough—E for Evansville, L for Los Angeles, N for Newark, Delaware, and W for Windsor, Ontario.

Midway through the model year a "Silver Special" package was introduced on Plaza two- and four-door sedans. Consisting of Sportone trim with anodized aluminum insert, front fender and door moldings, special metallic silver roof paint, full wheel covers, whitewall tires, directional signals, electric wipers, windshield washers, and "Forward Look" emblems pirated from the 1956 Plymouth, the two-door Silver Special was to sell for $1,958 in 1958. Another mid-year addition was the four-door Deluxe Suburban six-passenger wagon."

The body tag that you show has no real information other than the body number. For some reason, cars with a body tag did not have a data plate. Only cars built in Newark, DE and Los Angeles have data plates.
