Location: Branson, MO | If you want to restore this car to factory original, You'll need $100K and 15 years of time working almost not stop doing it yourself. Cut that in half if you want a
dependable driver. Otherwise, I suggest you part it out. No offense, but '61 Plymouths aren't exceptionally high on the "wanted" list although the convertibles are the
best looking along with the two door hardtops. |

It's nice to dream about this car being back on the road, but ..... |

| It's the Charlie Brown Christmas tree of 61 ply verts for sure. I do however have most of the 61 ply parts needed to put it back together in driver condition. I going to look a a 63 Chrysler conv parts car to see what conv only parts that are missing might interchange? The worst part of the conv is the driver rocker, Especially between door jamb and dog leg. Changing the sub frame and drivetrain would be easy. For now I will move it into backyard and evaluate the car a bit more.
Wayne,that's a great deal on the 61 !!!
The other 61 conv you have. Is it a parts car? If so ? I will PM you a parts wish list.

| Hey all, thanks for the common sense replies. Just spent last hour probing the car. It has some fatal inner rocker panel rot and forklift damage. That combined with no title, fender tag and missing conv parts it will be just a parts car.
Kinda a shame because it was a great original color/option combo. A car doesn't have to be a running driving restored example to enjoy for what it once was. I will park it out back and pick the bones for my other 61 projects. |
