I don’t get it either. Both things you’ve mentioned detract from the look of the car in my opinion. I’ve never understood the attraction of the fender skirts, or why they seem to be deemed obligatory by restorers/resellers,but they seem to come up time and time again on 57-58 furys at auctions. I place fender skirts in the same category as continental kits. Tacky aftermarket accessories. To each his own though.

Both can be easily rectified - especially the skirts. 5 minutes at most. Rear leveling might take a bit longer depending on the method used for raising the rear.

In the photo showing the car facing directly at the camera,is it just me or does the passenger side fender brow appear to cant inward at the top? The drivers side is level. The lower valance end pieces are also bent inward at the lower grille section instead of being straight. Nice car,but I wonder why they didn’t catch that when they were restoring it.

The “V” in the center of the grille should be silver. The right fender definitely has a bend over the headlights as the moldings don’t line up either. The bends on the lower valance are inexcusable on a car like this.

I agree. I noticed that about the V and You can also see one of the headliner strips hanging down in the photo.
