Beautiful car. It still has the gold tone accents around the instrument cluster panel.
It is, not yet uglified with the terrible hokey stick side trim, that destroys the lines and cuts halfway thru the fins. The straight, clean spear looks so much better.

...Not sure why Schmitts are calling this a 2dr SPORTS BELVEDERE ...i dont see the kick up on the side stripe rear .. its just a 2dr BELVEDERE
The side trim this car has is correct for a 1957 Belvedere. 1958 Belvederes have the trim that sweeps up the fin.
Does this help? (Different terminology in different years)

Ok so ..only the Fury in 57 had the hockey stripe and any 57 with hockey stripe is custom ? (If thats the case ive seen lots & lots of 57 with hockey stripe)....And in 58 there was no sports coupe just a hardtop ? I honestly dont see the sports and hardtop difference ..same body lines.

If only the '57 Belvedere had the '58 lower grille painted the body color.....................................
It would be the best of the best! Best side trim (no hockey stick), tail lights (nicely placed in the rear quarter), and back-up light location (in the original designed placement under the tail lights). Yessirreee!

Hi,yes, only the fury had the sport tone trim that went up the tailfins in 1957. And yes there are lots of modified 1957’s running around. Many converted to look like 58’s. People usually call the 2dr Ht the sports coupe
