Definitely looks to be a big block - if not a 350 which was available in a 1958 Plymouth, it could be a 440 or anything in between without knowing for sure.

Youre right the Plymouth 350 “golden commando” was equipped with dual quads. There was a 350 “super red ram” for Dodge that year with a single carb. It could be one of those. DeSoto also used the 350 too on the Firesweep.

Appears to have 4 bolt valve covers, so early heads at least.
But those are the wrong valve covers for 1958. '58 valve covers are more square. But it is using the proper air cleaner for a single 4bbl or 2bbl application in '58.

I've seen 350s/361s both ways regarding the valve covers but that's a lot of years for something to have been altered. It could be an early/late thing but it also could be a real/fake thing too.. which is most likely.. the wire separators look right though.
