Hi guys n girls. I am considering converting to power steering on my 56 Dodge 315 poly but..
I will need a couple of Items to do the trick. So if anyone has an idea where I might find, please point me in the direction.
1) For the crankshaft. 2 groove. Early models of the 315 had a pulley but no balancer. I think the crank is the same diameter either way.
2) water pump pulley, 2 groove.
3) generator with p/s pump drive, 2 groove.
4) generator mounted p/s pump.

Del: You also need the complete coaxial steering column unless you have another way of doing it.

I would NOT go with the generator-driven PS pump (like I have).

I would go with a 1957 Dodge PS pump mounted low on the driver's (left) side of the engine. That way you could go with an alternator or an alternator made to look like a generator.

Just an opinion.

I know where there is a coaxial steering unit. If it is in good shape and rebuildable I could go o.e. just need to know if the rest is available. If no, then option 2.
