Hey up north guys, is Speedway Auto still open? I just checked the aerial view on Google Earth, dated 9/12/19, the lot is full of cars and trucks, very neat and clean. Looks like someone has been taking care of the property since my last visit in July, 09. I picked up a 71 Satellite rolling shell from the owner.
Also, Erie Auto Salvage seems to be open.

Hi, Tony: I haven't been up there in awhile, so I don't know.  If they are open, they are one of the few yards left in the Front Range who have forwardlook cars!

Erie used to have some ForwardLook cars, but the last few times I have been there, they turn me away at the desk.  "hey, do you have any 57 - 58 dodges or de sotos?"  "nope."  They probably just don't like the looks of me.

Speedway was a great place for old Mopar part seekers. I still have a few engine oil coolers removed from junked police cars. I haven't been there for over a year now due to
Covid, I was really discouraged the last time there.

The ForwardLooks at Speedway were in the lower right-hand corner.  In piles.  It looked like most of them were shot over there by catapult from the main office.  There are some neat rows in other areas, but not there.

The city of Dacono wants the land. Urban renewal? Heard this from Crew Cab Todd.

I tried them some time back to no avail. Basically they passed the buck.

Basically nope ain't got try ***** and still nope. I was told not much left of them years. Seems more and more yards are crushing, if they got anything left it is a miracle. I did go there back in '05 and man I was blown away with they had.
