| This is a Spring Special Fireflite 2 door, extremely rare the only one I've ever seen out side of one in a Desoto ad |

Location: So. Cal | Mine might be a spring special, but I need to get the broadcast sheet to verify. To me, $42K is a steal for this car. I'm sure it'll be gone as soon as someone can pull the funds together. |

Location: The Mile High City | That is super cool! I the special touches of the Fire Flite stickers on the valve covers! Interesting that it has the gray trunk mat. My initial impression was that the 1957s had gray, the 1958s had speckled (?) and the 1959s had black. Don't know. This is such a beautiful car!!

Location: So. Cal | Both of my '58 Fireflites had black with speckled trunk mats. The speckles were faded on the mat in the red car, but it seems to have been speckled originally. Both are definitely black, so he likely found a '57 mat to install into it.

| Only a Spring Special has the inserts and the trunk lid trim. This is a steal at this price, you'll never see another one like it, and I'd pay the asking price in a minute if I had it. |

Location: San Antonio, TX | My 57 Fireflite 4dr hdtp has a grey trunk mat. My 57 Fireflite sedan has the speckled one. The sedan was first sold Oct 31, 1957 so I expect it was fairly late in the 57 model year run.

Location: The Mile High City | That's a dang near perfect example of the speckle variety! Here in Colorado, those things dried up, disintegrated, and blew away into dust within the first year. |

Location: San Antonio, TX | I have no idea why this one survived so well. Car lived all it's life in in Wichita Falls, TX until I brought it to San Antonio a few years ago. Fluke. |
