I'm looking to find out what all these numbers mean on my vin tag.
Welcome aboard. I have a 56 D500 Custom Royal Sedan that was built on May 16th, 1956 in Los Angeles. I can tell from your cowl data plate that yours was built in Detroit (your car's VIN will start with 35. Mine is 42 = LA).
Your car was built on or about May 25th, 1956 (probably in Detroit). The cowl data tag is the third style they used in 1956 (1. early Detroit, 2. LA and 3. Late Detroit(like the 57 Detroit Dodge tags) (yours is late Detroit style)
The 825 Body Code = V8 Dodge Royal 4 dr Sedan. REF: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=69565&...
The 065 Paint code is a two tone green. 165 was Jade Green Metallic on top with Sea Foam Green on the bottom. 065 flips those so Sea Foam on top and Jade Green on the bottom REF: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=63553&...
The 532 trim code is a bit of a problem. We thought 532 was "Flying Ducks" in Red but I don't think that makes sense with a Green car. We need a photo of your car and specifically the interior REF: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=65230&...
As for the other codes, I am thinking that there was a 293 = Powerflite automatic.
I do see a 382 and a 593. They will require more work because of the late Detroit tag style. Don't go away. We'll be back.
EDIT: 382 might be outside right hand mirror.
Start a Members Ride thread with photos of your car.
4Dr Hardtop (Lancer) version of the Red Royal Flying Duck interior:

| My interior is the same material but in green like the ad you posted states.
I posted my project here tonight.
The 382 and 593 are one of the mysteries that I was curious about.
The 03 and the 838 is another mystery that I was wondering about.
I didn't see a 293 but that is a real rusty spot.
It still does have the Powerflite automatic.
Thanks so far.

03 938 is just the order number. Meant something to the folks on the assembly line and shipping but it means nothing to us now.
When the Covid thing is over, you need to ask Fiat Chrsyler Historical for an image of the IBM card for your car. It contains the information that you seek. Like this example that I annotated for the owner:

| I still haven't seen an answer on the 382 and 593 order codes on that plate.
I've searched myself and never found those codes, even in the wroung year production. |

As I have stated, either in this thread or in another similar thread, there were three (or four?) different cowl data tag types for the 1956 Dodges. Your's, I think, is later 56 Detroit, and it sets the pattern used by the 1957 Detroit Dodges (see below). *IF* that were true (and I don't think anybody can confirm or deny this), then 382 could be the outside right mirror (a legitimate option) and 593 could be a special radiator.
*MAYBE*
But who knows? Those that did for sure know have long passed on to the great assembly line in the sky.

Dave: ’57 Dodge cowl tag deciphering does not work for ’56 Dodge tags
Besides that, both ’56 and ’57 Detroit-built Dodge cowl tag codes does not match to actually sales codes
For example to the tag of Coronet Lancer 2 Door Hardtop (2146) you posted above:
Code 292 on the cowl tag actually has sales code 322 in the table = Powerflite Transmission
Code 324 on the cowl tag actually has sales code 374 in the table = Heater
Code 485 on the cowl tag actually has sales code 675 in the table = Delivery Route
Regarded to the Green Monster’s Royal Sedan the cowl tag code 593 might be shows a delivery route too.
Look in your database: you should have later Detroit-built ’56 Dodge cowl tag pictures with 591, 593, 595, 596, 597 codes on their – too many different codes in a same (59x) space.

| My 56 does have the right outside mirror.
It could be a special radiator since it has the Hemi... |

Could be. Check to see if there is a number like 1656 452 on the top tank.
I will check mine tomorrow.

The only way that we will know more is when/if GreenMonster can obtain an image of his car's IBM card from Stellantis Historical.
In the meantime, here are the only two late Detroit 56 Dodge cowl tags that I have in my files. One (JeffP's) was for a 4dr D500 Custom Royal.
Neither have any code for the transmission (29n). Both have a 59n so I could believe "ROUTE". But again, the IBM card will have the required missing info.
