Location: Muskego, WI | So I'm going through my wagon and I've found I don't have any dash lights at all. The orange instrument wires are all connected where they should be on the headlight switch, which does have battery power to it, but no lights. When I run power directly to the dash lights they do work, so the issue appears to be in the headlight switch itself. Just thought I'd post this here incase this is a common issue and my light switch is fixable, or am I looking for a new headlight switch? |

I was going to suggest that the issue might be in the separate instrument cluster dimmer switch but I do NOT see one in this 1959 Plymouth wiring diagram (I couldn't find a 60 Plymouth diagram). That implies to me that a) the instrument bulb dimmer is in the headlight switch and b) that something related to the headlight switch has a knob that rotates (have you tried rotating the switch?).

Location: Muskego, WI | Yes, rotating the headlight switch is supposed to adjust the brightness of the dash lights, but nothing happens (no dash lights in any position). |

Okay. Found 1960 Plymouth Wiring diagrams. Same thing: No separate instrument cluster light dimmer.

The culprit is likely in the dimmer rheostat portion of the headlight switch (left end of the switch in the photos):
