Is there any one that reproduces data plates and door tags??
I removed mine when l replaced the rusted cowl and the floor, inner rockers and did some work on the door post. As you have guessed l put mine in a place where l wouldn't lose them. Owned the wagon since '09 titled/registered in my name. Fast forward, 2 strokes, my buddy that helping with the wagon passed, the car got moved to new storage. I've been going thru boxes of parts and there are some missing. I need so l can sell. Way to much work done to throw it away. Hence the needed help. THANKS in advance...

The body plate can be reproduced by AG Backeast. But when I talked to him previously, he told me he couldn't make VIN tags out of stainless. So if you can't find it, you are SOL. Moral of the story, don't mess around with that tag!

Back in the seventies, I had a 59 Chrysler New Yorker with missing VIN tag, hence couldn't pass the inspection.
I went to several junk yards and got 5-6 different VIN-tags form other cars.
I cut carefully out the correct numbers and glued the partions together on a thin base plate, Painstakingly grinded off all inperfections and painted the new tag first silver and then oversprayed it with the body color - mounted it with two pop-rivets.

This VIN-tag passed all inspections as long I had the car and from what I know it's still on the car.

Some states have a procedure to deal with missing VIN tags; it usually entails an inspection by a DMV official and then the issue of a tag with a DMV issued number.

In Ca. you need to drop the car off with the CHP, and they have an expert that will come up and verify that the car is not stolen, or pieced together with stolen parts [newer cars with this] If all looks good, and secondary VIN numbers don't exist, your car will get a tag with an assigned ID number, and can then be titled with that.

Had to do this with four or five cars in the past, rather than to junk them out.
