I need a gas tank sending unit for my 1956 plymouth belevdere station wagon, 270" v-8, automatic transmission. Seems I had heard that the part # is different for a wagon versus a sedan? Hopefully someone will know and will also know the proper part # to ask for.

Jerry: I know we are all getting older and our memory isn't as good as it once was but....

You asked about senders and gauges back in March of 2018 and I replied with answers to both.

As for the sender it was 1641 679.



and there was one for sale at that time. Note that the suburban senders are two wire, not one. If somebody is selling one as a suburban sender but it only has one wire connection, it is wrong.
