1961 Plymouth speedometer rattle

61lemon Posted 2021-11-10 10:11 AM (#616691) Subject: 1961 Plymouth speedometer rattle New User Posts: 4 Curious to know if I have to actually pull out the transmission cable to the speedometer to spray the gears or if when I spray the top of the housing for the cable, it sips in. I took out the push button to fix it and then sprayed the top of the cable and I swear it stop the rattling sound or more like grinding to like a whooshing sound. Any advice? Just pull it out and lubricate it with light grease and reinstall. That just might solve the problem. Good luck!
