i need just the mechanism. thank you.
In that case, there are many 57, 58 and 59 Plymouth, Dodge, Desoto and Chrysler shifter mechanisms that will likely work. They might differ with the additions of a neutral starter switch (not used on Desotos) and/or a reverse light switch (on the side). The main thing is the positions of the RND21 buttons and the way in which they move the shift cable.
I used a 1673 906 from a 56 Chrysler on my Torqueflite conversion in my 56 Dodge and it has the button pattern that you seek. The 1739 174 from 57-58 Desoto or 1739 173 from 57-58 Chryslers would probably work.

Not sure if this shifter will work or not. It looks right but I can NOT determine whether the throws will be RND21 or not. Might have to be disassembled and the plates reordered. (??)
