I Need your help with this question regarding a 1959 dodge CR 4 door hardtop with the cardboard headliner sections. I need to calculate how many yards I need to cover the board panels in a foam back perforated vinyl. anyone ever go thru this procedure ? the shorter panels in lenght are 57" and the longer rear panel towards the sail panels is 85" . one yard in that vinyl comes in this dimension of 54"x36" . Thanks !

I think it would be better to get the proper metal bows for a cloth headliner and eliminate the cardboard one if it is not in good shape.

I'd rather keep the original appearance . I have new board panels already cut to size .

Seems 3 yards all in a row would be enough. You can cut the longer ones first and then the short ones. 108'' equals 3 yards long and it will be 54'' wide. Should be plenty.

mstrug you are correct ! here's what I did to find the yardage , I laid all 4 card boards out of the floor flat . three of them in a row across equaled 54" and the shortest board at the bottom on an angle . so they are all in a rectangle shape of 54" width and 108" in total length which equals 3 yards exactly. Well that was easy.
