Is there a shop in the Houston, TX area that can rebuild 1957 Chrysler Torqueflite transmission ?
You need to seek out a shop in Houston that at least knows the 727 Torqueflites. I had my 57 Windsor cast iron Torqueflite rebuilt by a competent transmission shop that knew 727s but had never even seen a cast iron Torqueflite. I brought them a rebuild kit like the one shown in the photo below which helped but, in the end, also I had to supply a better front pump, a better control module and a better pick-up screen. And, oh yeah, I had to supply them a better torque converter core because they didn't like mine - then they sent that core out for a rebuild.
