I have collected several auto pilot/cruise control parts for 1958-66 cars. Too many to document here. For example, I do have some control switches/cables & mounting brackets for the brain & brake release switch, etc.

If you are looking for that hard to find component, I just may have it.

Please ask/email to: pins.thorne@gmail.com

Thanks,

Gary

Do you have the hydraulic disconnect switch that mounts on the master cylinder. 1958.

Thanks,
Greg

Are you talking about the switch itself or the brass tee that it mounts to? There were also 2 versions of the autopilot brake switch; a mechanical one that was located on the pedal assembly, and a hydraulic one on a brass tee under the master cylinder. I think the mechanical one is easier to find than the hydraulic version.

I have the brass tee. I need the switch, it is unique in that it is normally closed. Hydraulic pressure opens it. I have the mechanical one. The whole system had been operational in my car for years until silicone fluid ruined that switch!

Bybass the hydraulic switch. As long as you still have the mechanical switch on the brake pedal you do not need the hydraulic switch. It was eliminated in 1960 per service bulletin.

I have an original hydraulic switch, but the plastic part is broken (maybe the metal tang too?) and I doubt it will work. You might see about getting yours rebuilt if that is possible?
