I not having any luck locating a manifold heat riser thermostat spring for my 1960 DeSoto Adventurer 383 CI. Anyone here have any or can direct me to a source? Thanks.

I think you aint gonna find them at a reasonable price but you can use the spring out of carburetor choke housings, or just search for bi-metallic springs or choke springs. It is all the same, but you may have to bend the ends to fit you aplication.

Also, you will probably need the little anti rattle spring on the backside too. That is easy to find.

Thanks for the tips. I have a new spring for my 49 Buick. It's a little wider than the DeSoto's but otherwise looks like it "might" fit. No harm in installing it and seeing what happens. Yes, I have located a possible fit for the anti-rattle spring. I'll try assembling it all tomorrow. Thanks again.
