| Hello, I just received my recored radiator back and the spacing has always been close from the blade to the radiator. There is a spacer block probably about a 1/2” thick in front of the water pulley and behind the blade. Is that something I can remove and then get shorter bolts and washers and bolt the fan directly to the pulley or do I need to keep that spacer. It is so close that I am afraid of any fluctltuation or movement sending the blade into the new radiator.
Thanks in advance,

Location: Branson, MO | If the spacer is 1/2 inch, and the fan blades are 3/4 inch or less between the radiator without the spacer, just use shorter bolts with lock washers directly on the pulley and you should be perfectly fine. Just be sure the pulley is in line with the other pullies so there is no misalignment when everything is tightened with the belt in place. |
