I'm restoring a 59 dodge cr .. this is a question for any of the owners of one or . the question is >>>> just below the trunk lid there is a long thin 1" wide moldings ..... which way is the correct way to install ? is the Thin side up or the wider area up ? the molding has a little curl upward on the ends to fit under the tailights extrudes ... one edge along the length of molding is wider than the other that is what I am refrering too. I tried looking at pictures but can't get a close up .Thanks !

I went through this with my 56 Dodge Custom Royal. I ended up with the thinner edge up but that put the ends in a drooping configuration. Having seen this thread, I think I did it wrong. Fatter edge up and the ends mimicking the corner curve of the trunk lid will look better (to me).
Maybe that is the key point, no one really cares (well except maybe Serge). Either way, it will look good.
