The carpet was replaced at some point in my car's history so I don't have a good reference.
Should the carpet be installed before the kick panels and the panels below the rear quarter windows or should those items be installed first and then the carpet? Basically should the carpet be under the panels or butt up to them? This is for a '58 Plymouth 2 door hardtop.

The carpet is installed before the kick panels and before the quarter armrests.
