A guy in Australia is adapting an LS intake to be used on a poly 318. I wonder if something like this could be done with a new hemi intake. Bore spacing is probably the biggest factor to take into account.

LS bore spacing is apparently 4.40" center to center

Apparently (according to Willem Weertmann's book), the 318 poly bore spacing is 4.46". So pretty close.

Would be nice to see how a Gen III hemi intake would work.

The LS1 intake conversion was pioneered by Buck and Clark Hinkle on their 426 A-block (with LA short block) for the 2016 Engine Master Challenge. The LS1 runners are extremely close to where spacers and some slight porting adjustment works. The engine ended up putting out 552 HP @ 5,900 and 563 TQ @ 4,300.

The Gen III Hemi runner ports are substantially shorter than the A-block along with some velocity killing turns the adapter would need to negotiate to go from the Gen III Hemi runner angle to the A-block angle and to align with the A-block ports.
