| FOR SALE; I have two disc brake packages to get rid of and the first one is ready for for sending to an interested buyer (the second is missing brake hose which I will have to buy on eBay). I purchased this (two kits) from eBay (buy-it-now) auction about 16 years ago - for my 55 Desoto. A number of these were listed in an eBay auction and indicated for 55/56/ Desoto/Chrysler - so I jumped on the kits (they all sold out fast at the time). I finally attempted to install the kit only to notice that the mounting plate is for the 4 bolt 56 and later spindle (my 55 is a 3 bolt spindle design from the 40's and early 50's). The discs are 11". The large hole in the mounting plate is 3-1/4" and diangle bolt hole spacing is 4". I separately bought 1/4" wheel spacers to give a little extra rim clearance from the caliper. The enclosed picture shows using existing stock 15" wheels (I assume 1956 wheel shown). The kit is also for 1957-61 Mopar cars. I do not think there is yet a disc kit being commercially made for the 56 Desoto/Chrysler. Per the instructions for '56 you have to flip (instruction sheet for 56 is included ) the mounting plates. Shipping in two boxes weighing 44 lb and 37 lb. Free packing and handling (no inflated handling fees). As I understand these were designed/ made by an individual for his car (s) with extra kits made to offset the tooling cost. The name I have for the sender of my kits was Alfred Astrella. Another name, for the maker, suggested to me, was a Forward Look individual name ending in "Hope"?. The identical kit is now being offered by Andy Bernbaum for $1100 + shipping. This kit cost me more (plus the shipping) then my asking price of $650.00. The shipping cost (82 lbs), to east coast will be (per on line) about $196 Fed Ex (UPS should be less - but the onsite calculation did not allow weight to be entered - only box size 12x12x approx 20"). Two smaller boxes would be 45lb and 37lb but added up to $223.00 via Fed Ex (UPS may again, be cheaper).

I have been sellling off my extra 55/56 Ply & a few 55 Desoto parts on eBay this pass year. I'm newly registered with Forward Look!
