| Are new antenna cables available, or the gasket the goes on the body? I can't see either listed anywhere, though I do see that the bezel is reproduced which was a pleseant surprise. Are all 57-59 antennas the same (except for Imperial)? |

Location: The Mile High City | I think the basic cables are all the same type for DPCDI, but lengths vary both by antenna option and make. I would think you could find the cable pretty inexpensively. I think eBay had the Y connectors too. Heres a NOS setup. https://bluestarperformance.com/product/y-connector-radio-lead-in-wire-1779072-dodge-plymouth-desoto-chrysler-dual-antenna-1957-59-nos-ships-free-to-lower-48/ |

| I had a fellow in a small electronics supply shop make a cable for me. I believe he called the cable ends, Motorola. So you should be able to get it made to the correct length. He also had the T connector as was with my car, not a Y.

| Thanks, mine is the regular fender mounted antenna not the dual rear one. I'll see if there are any electronics shops in my area that could make something like this |

| I found a replacement antenna cable (an original one off a broken antenna) But how do I get it out? It doesn't just pull out from the body |

Location: Springfield, MO | I am unsure about fender mount antenna, but I am currently replacing masts on a pair of dual rear fin mount antennas. The cable is crimped to the antenna and the signal wire soldered to the mast connections for continuity. At least for the rears, the cables are not meant to be separated from the antenna assemblies and is true from what I have seen with the modern aftermarket masts as well.
If your antenna is in good shape, but your cable is shot easiest fix is to splice new cable on the old one. Procedurally, it would be similar to a coaxial cable splice since those are also shielded. Buy a length of aftermarket auto antenna cable and splice. Heat shrink, rubber electrical tape, and soldering will likely be required unless you can add a connector to your old mast wire.
I purchased generic aftermarket mast from rockauto. My problem was that my Lester dual rear antenna's masts were broken. Easiest and cheapest solution was to take the old ones out and reuse the fin bezels for use on the aftermarket masts. Maybe one day I will swap them out for powered ones. |

Location: The Mile High City | Yeah, I guess you would have to remove the motorola end from the radio first, feed it through the firewall (attach a string to bring the new one back through), then remove the antenna from the fender. |
