Location: Branson, MO | Thanks Clive for posting the link. I'm not very computer savvy but thought this car had potential for a buyer at the listed price or offer?????
It's lacking trunk pics and underneath pics but judging from the rest of the car, it can't be too terribly bad. The interior fabric on the
door panels and seats are, let's just say, well let's just don't say..................... |

Location: Lubbock, TX | It's a legit company and legit car, no scam, just a consignment dealer with over 100+ cars according to their website and street view. Here's a link to their website listing for this car. https://thevaultms.com/inventory/1959-desoto-fireflite/
I agree that the bodywork will be the indicator of value for this one. The crushed velour(?) upholstery is very polarizing for the Desoto crowd, and will certainly hold it back a bit. But it is a 59 Desoto and most guys would agree that is the pinnacle year for the 1957-59 Desotos...

Not sure how you deduced that, but I wholly disagree. I personally think that '58 is the pinnacle year, and from listening to opinions expressed, I believe most would say that '57 is the pinnacle year - certainly not '59. The front end is great on them, but the back end leaves much to be desired - especially compared to the truly great looking '57-'58 and '60 DeSoto's. |

Location: Branson, MO | Everyone has their opinion but I have to agree with Peter. I personally like the uniqueness of the ‘59 in being the “one year only” that shares nothing but the body shell with any other model year DeSoto save for chassis and power train components.
