I did't want to step on Dave's thread about the book on Virgil Exner, but he inspired me to open a new thread on auto-related books.
If anyone enjoyed the writings and wit of John Phillips in 'Car & Driver' magazine, you will get a kick out of his book 'Four Miles West of Nowhere'. It recounts episodes of a city boy's first year of retirement in the Montana wilderness. This is an amusing book for any of you who want to get away from it all. Be careful what you wish for!

I enjoyed reading sections from the Mobilegas economy run. It was interesting what they did to get better efficiency from the cars.

I found a used copy on Amazon for $24. Do I get extra credit if I write a book report?
