Location: Minnesota | Hi, I had the cutout points in my voltage regulator stick. What is the most best source for a replacement? I see RockAuto has some that are electronic. I'm not sure if I want to go that route. Does anybody know what my options are? Thanks, Joel |

I believe that the PN for a 12V negative ground regulator for a 1957 40 amp generator was 1662 137. Searching for that number as "1662137 Voltage Regulator" shows up a number of hits, including Hiltop Mopar that lists one
with a number of alternative PNs to chase:
1662137 [Autolite P/n VAT6201] Supercedes P/N 1889944 & 2095200

Other less expensive alternatives on eBay include these:

Location: Minnesota | Thanks so much for that, it was exactly the info I was looking for. I went ahead and ordered the NOS regulator from Hilltop. I like the idea of a new, factory part for reliability and authenticity. |
