I don't often stray into areas such as an early 300 with an RB but......
Helping a friend with a rebuild and we find that the previous rebuild used a couple different pushrods
and rockers among other anomalies.
Can someone confirm that the pushrods should be 1/4" tip T&B?
I hate second guessing myself but we found that the existing pushrods have 1/4 bottoms and 5/16 tops and
some of the rockers are obviously for 1/4 tip and others not, apparently post 67 parts....?
We want to make sure this is spot-on when finished.

I can't answer the question about the push rods, but 440Source can get you nearly anything you need for a B or RB engine. They do sell the early style valley pan covers too.

Well, after some careful research in the appropriate service manual it actually says to install the pushrods with 'the small tip into the tappet'...
I should not amazed that MaMopar made such a combination.
Now dealing with what still appears to be a rocker arm with a 'too-small' of a pocket for the 5/16 tip as the wear pattern does not show contact
at the bottom of the pocket ....hhmmm

FWIW, the big block rocker arm part numbers are the same from '58-'67 but changed in '68. Not sure what the difference is, if any, but I agree with Sid...the top pocket is for the 5/16".
