Location: Perth Australia | Easy to price it, but not so easy to sell it. It is obviously in magnificent condition and even without
going into wether its a genuine D500 or not, it is worth big money.
Being that its worth the "Big Money" look up the big money 60 plymouth fury convertables and the like
for idea of condition and price. They have been for sale for years.
So, 2 ways to sell it, either base it off those cars and lower the price to actually get a buyer or put it across the auction block and see
if you land a big fish.
I believe (going by the description and the photos I have seen so far) that the car is going to be out of the price range of the average person.
I do not believe that the seller has no idea on price, because if that was the case, someone could buy it for $10 or $20K And if
$10K gets it, let me know and I will do what I can to get the money to the seller

Location: So. Cal | Looks like he has short rams on the engine. Would those be original to a '60 Dodge as an optional engine? |

Location: christchurch New Zealand | Short rams for 1960 were for the 300F special only, never available on anything else for that year, cant see factory inner fender cut outs either if it
was a factory d500. I suspect the car has been made up to suit the owners taste and weather its a factory car or not he had great taste and good on him.

Location: Yorba Linda, Ca | These are specially made combo of short & Long ram tubes on the engine.
This engine was specially built for the car.
It supposedly had 500HP and only ran on AV gas. It always ran hot
with the temp gauge peaked all the way to the right.
He ran ethelene glycol to kep it from boiling over.
The engine turned out to be a piece of junk, it developed a knock, as I recall.
upon teardown, one head was from a 361 and I think the other was a 383
(based in head marking numbers).
At any rate, this engine was replaced by one Aivar bought
from the Petty Bros in Arizona.
This engine was a "Street engine"
It runs great on 91 octane & with a new radiator It runs nice and cool
(about midscale on the temp gauge)
The AC was removed due to the cooling problems with the junk engine
and never reinstalled.
I've driven the car numerous times. I drove it to the tranny shop (A1 Transmissions)
to have the tranny rebuilt It was junk also. Same guy that sold him the 500 hp engine.
The car runs absolutely fabulous and the tranny shifts well
The car has always been garaged and also covered with a car cover as all his cars were.
Anyway GOOD EYES on the "Long Rams", there "one of a kind", specially built
