Location: N.W. Fla.		Is there a T handle that can be used to run a die (as in tap & die) in a recessed or obstructed area where the flat die holder/handle can't be used?

Location: So. Cal		There are various tools like that for taps, but I'm not aware of anything for a die. You could get a cheap die tool and modify it to suit your needs.

Location: Alaska		I have a set of dies that are hex shaped and I can use a large socket and as many extensions as needed to reach into tight places. If there is room for the die there is usually room for a socket.

I have a set of dies that are hex shaped and I can use a large socket and as many extensions as needed to reach into tight places. If there is room for the die there is usually room for a socket.
Now there's an idea! Better than fabbing up something!

Depending on the diameter of your die, there is a holder for your purpose called a "tailstock die holder". MSCDirect.com has them.
