Rebuilding water pump on a 56 New Yorker and have a request for a picture of the "water thrower" circled in red on the following diagram? Did not see any such item when pressing out the old shaft. Are they available for purchase?  Thanks for any information.

In the 1955-58 Mopar parts book, that item is shown in some water pump parts diagrams as a "thrower" and that its part number will be found in
Section 7-45-7.

So hot on the trail, I go looking for Section 7-45-7. This is what I found:

(Nothing - so maybe they dropped it as a needed part (?))

Thanks 56D500boy for the information. Wonder if that was more like an o-ring that slipped down on the shaft where the grove is located near the bearing. Appreciate the help.

Sounds like it could be a discontinued part from back then.
