Fans of Forward Look-era Imperials and other Chrysler products of that era should delight themselves in this meet near Chattanooga, held on or around the Memorial Day weekend:

Yes, we went to this last year and are planning to do the same this year! My blue Saratoga is featured on the site, (pix from last year's meet). Great bunch of folks who love FWDLK's, Imperials and the BIG Chryslers!!

Nathan-- I checked out the "Memory Lane" site. Wow. Would love to hear some of these folks' stories, and I have to ask what this guy does for a living---- it takes some kinda money to find entire BUILDINGS in other states, purchase them, disassemble them, transport the whole thing across two or three states, and perfectly reassemble them on your land. "Just for fun" no less. Talk about dedication to "preserving the past"--- people after my own heart, for sure. The site, and the pics of all those great rides (600+ at recent shows, it said) sitting on that property, with those vintage-reassembled buildings, is too much to resist! It convinced me to take a trip to Rogersville next May, if possible. Mapquest says 340 miles/ 5 hours. Not too bad.

Sam,

Memory Lane is DEFINITELY something to see whenever you get the chance.

Otis (the owner) and his wife Kathy are some absolutely wonderful folks. Although they undoubtedly have tons of money, they're exceptionally friendly and down-to-earth people.

They own a bodyshop and used car dealership in the area... but I believe some of their fortune was inherited as well.

When I worked at a Knoxville TV station, one of my reporter friends described Otis and Kathy's place as "A 'poor man's' version of Greenfield Village."

Let me know if you're ever in the East Tennessee area... I'll call Otis and Kathy and we'll go over there for a look-see.
