On Tuesday we joined the caravan at Carthage Mo. Included were Claudia and Bill (cjscott-Ms. Fins) --Mike Bond, Kristie and Hanna( Safety Mike 77) Dick Whelen (Fintastic 57 all the way from New York) Jimmy Johns ( Mopar Jimmy) and the world famous Clive and Charlie ( Rebels 59 Coronet and Furiousbassman) They had traveled Missouri route 66 and we continued on 66 in OK. until river flooding changed our course. Dick and us had motel reservations just east of Tulsa at Catoosa, so we left the group-pulled into our motel and there was one FL car there, Rob and Lois (Red Ram). we were all pleasantly surprised. Next morning Dick and us came on in to the Doubletree, and then Cheryl and I went on down to Stroud. First thing in Stroud we came to a carwash and decided to clean the roadgrime and bugs off of Betty Lou. As you can see, the Stroud welcoming committee was totally unexpected! We then found our Motel , Dave ( 59 Savoy), and some of the early Stroud crowd. Dave took us on a nice little drive that evening to a great little steakhouse--they had EVERYTHING, including BBQ Balony!
Next chapter coming up later...........................MO

Great to finally see your Tulsa experience "on film"!...............We washed the Dodge so many times I wish I'd have come to Stroud with you so the welcoming committee could do it once. They wouldn't have even needed to wear the full uniform. :P - Rob

Yeah Dave but up here in the north our law boys frown on that young of a girl with an old man LOL at least some of them do besides I need a woman that can go into a bar and have a burger or see a good band and that is at least 21 here in IN. but my personal cut off is 27 just because any younger than that she would be old as my own child if I had any.

Criminy!!  How did I miss these pictures when I was going through the Tulsa albums? Looks like the folks who stayed in Stroud had First Class service that us peons didn't have in Tulsa.  And I didn't even have to put on my beer-coloured glasses...those cuties were hot right out of the box...:inlove:

Yes sir I do recognize the background as the hotel in Stroud I was one of the ones that made it there but I sure would have liked to see them fine yuong things LOL. The dinner Dave set up for us was quite good, and the little tour was fun to I got a picture of a flying soucer in a back yard :o).
