I'm in the process of restoring my 60's Chrysler and pretty much know how everything is suppose to look... except the trunk

My trunk came with nothing but an old piece of kitchen linoleum and rust...

are late 50s/early 60s trunks carpeted? boards to hide the wheel humps? covered in carpet or vinyl?

If anybody has pictures of their trunk, could you post them?...

I imagine I can figure out what my trunk should look like based on any Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/DeSoto product of the time

Or if you know where I can get trunk panels??? lining??? let me know

Bob, in my '60 Saratoga there is a rubber mat covering the whole trunk floor and grey cardboard for to cover the wheel humps and rear seat back as well as the rear of the trunk. I'm not sure, but I think that the '60 NY had a carpet - lets hope that Moparsweden has some pictures. My trunk is overloaded with things, but as soon as I can empty it, I'll post some pictures. Gary Goers sells the cardboard and jack instructions.

I took a look at Gary's PDF and you're right, the side panels are there.. but in another thread I saw Gary has gone AWOL...

I hope Gary is alright, not in the hospital, or something bad has happened.. he sounds like a decent guy

the day I was driving my car back from Florida, I meet "Daytona Joe" (restores early Imperials and races Daytonas) and he told me Gary was the "man"...

Thanks for volunteering to clean your trunk... given what I will fill my trunk with... it could be a monumental task

Bob, I have a couple of pics from my trunk. My car are a 60 New Yorker 4dr sedan and it´s an unrestored car less some small details. I have replaced the trunkmat with a correct mat from Gary Goers Otherwise it´s stock in the trunk.
Regards...Roger

Cool! I'll see if I can get a hold of Goers is the part over the wheel humps a dense cardboard?

also since you posted your engine compartment...

My valve covers are GM blue, my air cleaner is black (and a poor paint job as well) are they the wrong color?
I wonder cause my engine compartment is black and I know that's wrong... where the black is flaking, it's baby blue.
plus the block is the correct turquoise, and turquoise and blue seem an odd combination
