Member Posts: 26 | I just got off the phone with the owner who stated he acquired it two weeks ago from an elderly local man. It is an older(8-10 years), frame off restoration which, he says, has some documentation. He's hoping to get about $40,000. I still hope to see it in person before the auction ends. Is there anything I need to be on watch for? Brian

Could mean more Mickey Mouse ears to be found!! ---John

Something is fishy about this eBay one. eBay A better example with the proper trim (I hope):

Member Posts: 26 | OOH, good eye! Is trim supposed to be mitered or just cut at 90 degrees and in both cases, covered by this elbow? Is the elbow an available part? I'm also leery of the radiator which looks different than other '57 ones. Anyone know the correct part#?

Extreme Veteran Posts: 496 | Lots of little things, but this would be a nice driver with A/C and power windows. It's been nosed and decked and the main window switch is later. I don't remember the lower grille vertical bars being gold on my original 57 Fury... but it's been years since I've seen it. The forward look emblem between the rear seats is pointing the wrong direction. All very easy repairs. Drive it and improve it as you go. Aaron

Member Posts: 26 | Aaron, by nosed and decked, I assume you mean the letters and emblem holes have been filled. Odd, he says he has them. Thanks for the trim data 56D500. This guy and his brother are flippers so I don't think he knows a bunch about it other than a local shop restored it. He wants something in the 40k range and probably "robbed" the elderly PO. We'll see where it goes... Brian

I sell reproduction elbows that are identical to the originals, except mine have a stainless steel stud that will not rust off like the originals did. ---John
