Has anyone ever swapped a different gas tank into a 55 Plymouth. My car has no tank and I was thinking of using a newer tank. Anyone who has had luck with something that fits without a lot of fabrication and money, your help is highly appreciated. I may be able to find a 55-56 tank but doubt it will be in very good shape unless I get lucky enough to find one that is still being used. Do all 55-56 mopars use the same tank? I was looking at a plastic tank from a Gran Cherokee and like the idea of the plastic tank but without a tank to compare to I have no idea if it will fit. Thanks for your help, John

'55-'56 Plymouth and Dodge have tanks that will interchange, although not the wagons.

I may have a serviceable tank here that is used.
