Veteran Posts: 297 Location: Alberta Canada | I don't how many of you guys are near Central Alberta but this Saturday there's an auction with these cars coming up plus a 57 300 (it wasn't here yet) and a 48 T&C Chrysler. I looked at these and they are pretty complete-somebody grabbed the intakes off the white one and the 300F plus there was some trim missing. The black and white one had no engine. I have some more pix if there's any interest plus I'm going to go out there again to see the 57 and the 48 when they get there. Here's the link to the auction. http://www.montgomeryauctions.com/listings.asp?id=125 Edited by 59finnedwarrior 2010-09-07 10:47 PM (AIMGP3123.JPG) Attachments ---------------- AIMGP3123.JPG (154KB - 109 downloads)

Expert Posts: 4034 Location: Connecticut | Can you get the VIN numbers of these 3 cars + the not-yet-arrived 300C, so they can be submitted to the Chrysler 300 club registry ? Thanks, Ron

Veteran Posts: 297 Location: Alberta Canada | I did get out there again and Ron-here are the VINS White 55-3N551149 Black 55-3N552442 (this one might be off-my handwriting sucks and the pen was working badly but I'm pretty sure this is correct) Black 57-3N571781 (this was written where the tag was supposed to be) Black 60-8403111220 The 57 is in not bad shape overall-I couldn't get the hood open but it does have an engine.Interior is complete but like the 60 the outside side trim appears to be missing. The floors look pretty good on all these cars from a very superficial look. One thing is for sure-these cars are worth saving so hopefully somebody steps up to the plate. Brad I can't make it to the auction but if you're going let me know what happens. The 71 Cuda was complete-looks like a 318 car with rust in all the typical areas but if you like the 71 it might be a good start and the 48 T&C wasn't there today. One more thing-there was an older guy out there and he was ripping on these car along the lines of "Why bother-it's just Chrysler junk?" so look for me to comment on that -that's an issue that can't be ignored... Anyhow-that's about it from my end for these classics. (AIMGP3140.JPG) Attachments ---------------- AIMGP3140.JPG (154KB - 104 downloads)

Thanks for posting this - yeah just a bunch of Chrysler junk Personally I'm glad Chrysler fans are in the old car minority compared to GM and Ford...it makes our cars all the more special and unique...and you won't find more fiercely dedicated fans because of that fact. I've never seen a 50's car primered and without trim that comes close to looking as good as that 300. NorthernFins, are you busy saturday? Edited by 58dodgeregent 2010-09-09 1:00 AM

Expert Posts: 4034 Location: Connecticut | 59finnedwarrior - 2010-09-08 8:09 PM I did get out there again and Ron-here are the VINS<p> White 55-3N551149 Black 55-3N552442 (this one might be off-my handwriting sucks and the pen was working badly but I'm pretty sure this is correct) Black 57-3N571781 (this was written where the tag was supposed to be) Black 60-8403111220 Thanks 59finnedwarrior. All but the 57 are known to the club. The 55s are listed as being owned by 'Classical Gas', probably an used car dealership. The other is owned by a private individual. Was there any way that you could confirm the VIN of the 57 ? Did the tag just fall off, or was it missing ? Ron

I'm going to call the auction guys to find out how it turned out because I couldn't make it there that day so I'll ask about the number on the 57 as well.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 471 Location: Central Alberta | I was there, the cars weren`t really for sale. The story was the owner is going through a divorce and he had a buddy there to buy them back for him. $ 2000 for the `57 and `60, $ 1000 each for the 55`s. He had orders to go up to $ 4000 on the former, up to 2000 on the latter. The cars were ruff and lots of trim and engine parts missing. Sure took the fun out of it. Don`t waste your time calling the auction mart about the `57s vin, don`t think they care!

Thanks for covering the auction-sounds like a bit of a flakey deal behind the scenes.Never heard of that before at an auction...
