I bought this car from my friend Aivar, back in 2013.
He found it on "Route 66" around 2000.
He said it took 4 years to do the restoration.
The restoration was done in Arizona.

This is one of two 1958 Chrysler New New Yorker Convertibles that Aivar found on "Route 66"
This one was found in Apple Valley, I think within a day or two or the other one, (mine).
Aivar kept and drove both 1958 Chryslers for about 10 years.
The white was was named "The Ivory King" & the Green one "The Emerald Queen".
The vin #'s on the two Chryslers are just 6 numbers apart.
The white one was sold to my friend Borje.
He flipped it about 5 years ago for a 1958 Oldsmobile Super 98 hardtop.
(yeah I know, not a great decision!}.

Here are some photos of the two cars

And here is the car after restoration.
It still has it's original 392 Hemi, (They just cleaned it up, no mechanical rework)
Original cast iron push button Torque Flite, (again no mechanical work done).
Car is completely numbers matching and only has about 61,000 miles now
as it sat it that body shop for more than 20 years.
The car still has the generator, (a real one, not a fake alternator).
It charges even at a low rpm, (must be the pulley ratios?).
Everything works, power windows, power top, power steering & brakes.
6 way power seat.

The work I have done:
installed hardened valve seats, and bronze valve guides.
Rebuilt radiator, rear brakes redone, Hi torque starter.
fixed left front power window.
That's about all that I recall, (this thing is about as reliable
as my 2007 Accord)!

OK, Here's some pictures as She is today. (September 28, 2022).

The only "data plate" that I see on the left door post just says "LD3 2511".
The vin # won't help you as the car was originally a color called Dusty Rose.

The car is now painted a factory 1958 Chrysler color, it's called "Spruce Green"
Aivar says it is "Spruce Green with Steroids", He added a little metallic to the paint.
I do have the color brochure on the 58 Chryslers and it shows a
New yorker convertible with the same exterior color and same interior color.

The white Chrysler that Aivar bought had enough of the interior left,
that he was able to send a sample to SMS Interiors and they duplicated it,
including the "boss inlays".

So my Chrysler is a factory color and interior.
There is another Green new Yorker somewhere around Iowa.
(or at least it was last time I heard,) but it does not have the boss inlays.
There is also one in Sweden.

Even the radio works in the car.

I hope this answers your questions

Wow, Gary!  Fantastic!  Was this a recent purchase?  I had thought you bought this from Aivar soon after you sold your '59 Dodge convertible.

I bought the Chrysler back in 2013.
So I had both convertibles for about 7 years.
I sold the Dodge convertible back in 2020, as I recall.

2014. Visited Gary with wife (very nice). Then we got to ride in the nice Chrysler 58. We also took a trip to Börje then. Nice memories from our road trip US.
And Gary plays this Rock and Roll music to US Micke Muster - 17 Miles To Stockholm, (We from Sweden) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRD1jzKSLAY
