We have a 1959 Belvedere that's been in storage for about 20 years and we realize that we're probably never going to restore it. She was a great daily driver back in the late 1980's and deserves to be back on the road. It's white with tan interior and is a complete car with all trim, lenses, etc. We believe it has the 361 engine which was the larger one offered that year. It also has the optional decorative trunk trim, the higher grade Torqueflite transmission, and the deluxe clear steering wheel. (Isn't there one of these steering wheels for sale on Ebay right now for $3000?!) We're not sure of the value of the car, although a couple people have given me a few ideas. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is anyone interested in restoring her or knows someone who loves these old cars and wants to put another beauty on the road? I'd be happy to send photos if needed along with lots more information about her. Thanks. I hope I can figure out how to use this discussion board to get your answers! Email me at nanzab@gmail.com

I finally figured out how to post pictures. Thanks for the suggestion. As you can see she's pretty dusty an dirty (we live in a windy, farming area), but all the parts are there.

Thanks!
Nancy

You have to post pictures to even begin to get accurate quotes.

Deluxe steering wheel
Dash pad
Torqueflite
Solex tinted glass
V8
Can't see if there are side trim insert, stone guards or glove box lock.

Yes, we have the antennas, but they're currently being stored in the trunk. Don't all Belvederes have the two antennas? I know so much less about this car than I thought! What is Solex tinted glass? The windshield was badly scratched before we bought the car by someone who ran the wipers without blades. Sport Deck -- does that refer to the special trim on the trunk? I really like that trim. It makes the car look so cool! What do you mean by dash pad? Also, I don't know what side trim insert it, but it does have the full trim down the doors and back panel. I'm assuming stone guards protect the body above the headlights from roadway rocks -- ours doesn't have that I don't believe. Current mileage is 70,330

Dual Antennas were optional on Belvederes. Tinted glass is like polarized sunglasses. Nto to be confused with shaded glass, in which the windshield has a blue or grey swath across the uppermost portion, to cut glare. Sport Deck is the optional-for-Belvedere added fake spare tire deal. The car has stainless side moldings. Optional on Belvedere were stamped, aluminum, decorative panels which filled in the areas between moldings.
The dash board was of steel. A vinyl-covered pad was optional, which covered the dashboard in front of the passenger.
Stone guards were stainless steel pieces which covered the front edge of the rear wheel openings. Without them, stone chipping of paint was common in this area..

Hello, I live on the wet side of WA State. Should your car be verifiable as having 70K original miles, and the engine is not stuck, and assuming only the brake system and fuel system needs replacement due to age and lack of use, but all the bits and pieces are there..(the upholstery is not original)...I'd suggest perhaps $7,500-11,500. The fact that a steering wheel is on eBay right now for X does not mean that price will be met.
