Expert Posts: 1348 Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | Don't know about 58s but I have a 57 parts book and it appears to show one size fits all MOPARs for that year except Imperial if that is any help. For 1957 the part # is 953 916 which may be the same for 1958? For what that worth? Karl.

You can bond it to the foundation or if yours has rivets, you could drill holes and do that. i have purchased this for re-lining shoes on garden tractors Good luck!

Expert Posts: 1348 Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | I believe I saw just the lining for a Studebaker on Epay. Unless the diameter is a lot different, then the width would be the only issue and I am guessing that doesn't have to be exact if it is a little less in width?

Member Posts: 15 Location: Elba, NY | I suppose it could be relined though the metal in the bottom of the band is quite thin due to rubbing in the drum, fortunately it doesnt appear to have worn the drum much at all, but again it probably could be relined

Expert Posts: 1622 Location: Seville, OH | Does anyone know what the original lining thickness is? I am taking mine (57 Dodge) in for reline, but I don't want to go too thick.

I am taking mine (57 Dodge) in for reline, but I don't want to go too thick. If you are meaning Auto Trans Shoes ( Pair) .. The thickness of the Shoe Lining is 5/32in , Europeans using metric, it is almost 4mm Check a thread i ran last year about Relining Shoes http://forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=57681&post... .

Expert Posts: 1622 Location: Seville, OH | Sorry, I should have clarified, one-piece external manual trans brake band. But from your link, it looks like the 5/32" applies as well. Thanks! Edited by Swept57 2016-03-15 2:55 PM
