On my 57 Imperial which has a stock, rebuilt 392, the trans is not shifting down until I get to a certain speed, about 25-30, then it shifts. As I go faster--10, 15, 20, the RPM will go up and up until it shifts and goes back down to a normal RPM. But if I floor it from a standstill it shifts fine. Ideas? Transmission linkage need adjusting? Thanks

Probably needs a linkage adjustment due to sagged rubber mounts or missing bushings in the linkage. Check pages 9 and 10 in the link below:

Thanks, it appears to be adjusted correctly but I am not 100% positive. Some of the bushings are pretty sorry looking, any idea where to get new ones? Also if anyone has made this adjustment and could offer some tips that would be great.
