Expert 5K+ Posts: 7206 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | for anyone interested, I've taken photos and uploaded all 28 pages from my 1960 Chrysler Color and Upholstery Selections book. The book has the actual swatches of material glued onto each page. It's a wonderful resource - and there are some optional upholstery selections I've never even seen or heard of prior to seeing this book, as in the leather option for New Yorker Sedans, and a vinyl option for Saratoga sedans. https://www.flickr.com/photos/mopar380/albums/72157670306104296

What about your color samples - mine are totally warped and glued together by age and heat?

I am debating whether to even keep them....... what's your opinion?

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13045 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | They are not nice, but I'll keep them. They must be painted with the actual car paint and I Think that they are the closest thing to the actual paint at the time. It's a pity that they are so damaged and warped - no paint scanner can be used on them.

Expert Posts: 1530 Location: ZH, Switzerland | Thanks Ian I just have a question: when I watch e.g. the Windsor (page 6 and 7) the texture of the center (B) looks at the seat covers of my Letter exactly the same, but leather instead of vinil. This section (B) looks like woven (basket weave), is it? For me it's clear, vinil could be heat fixtured. Or is the center section vinil as well at the 300F seat covers? Happy Restoring! Dieter

Dieter Dieter, The vinyl is in a basket weave pattern, like the inserts on the 300-F only not leather. It is heat-stamped to resemble basket weave. The 300-F inserts are heat stamped leather I believe.
