Extreme Veteran Posts: 397 Location: Milano, Italy | Hello Friends, Moving from one garage to another with the engine parts in many little boxes is not the best for the rebuilding process, at least for me.... So I lost the camshaft thrust plate, spacer, bolts and oil deflector, this last one called "oil trough" on the service manual. The engine is a 1958 318 Poly. Can anybody sell those parts to me, please ? I am attaching a pic of the parts. thank you for any assistance !

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9604 Location: So. Cal | I don't know how similar those parts are to the early hemi, but I would bet that they are pretty close. The only question is the hole pattern. But if they are the same, you could get them from www.hothemiheads.com http://hothemiheads.com/dodge/index.html#C They are very knowledgeable, so I would give them a call and see what they say. Extreme Veteran Posts: 397 Location: Milano, Italy | Thank you !!! Indeed this was one of my worries, as I have found the spacer for a hemi at the hothemiheads and I was asking just that. So far I have found the thrust plate from ebay, the spacer from hothemiheads, I just miss the four bolts and the oil deflector. But this one I can build it myself. Need the bolts. Thank you again!

Elite Veteran Posts: 888 Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon | The oil trough is the same as any A-LA engine and the bolts are 5/16-18 x ¾". Send a pm if you still need the pieces.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 397 Location: Milano, Italy | Thank you Gary Sorry for the delay in re-opening this page but my work keeps busy and off town for many days a week. Thank you for the offer. Indeed It is better to have an original steel part than a soda tincan cut to shape ..... :-)) I am sending a PM to you.

Elite Veteran Posts: 888 Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon | ...sure wish that this forum would allow for edits of previous posts....we don't always see our mistakes within 999 minutes...... So, for the record, in case anyone else is searching: The retaining bolts for the cam thrust plate are 5/16-18 x 5/8. As we all know, fine threads in cast iron are rarely used. Additionally, these particular bolts use a captive external tooth washer.
