I put a 400 in my buddy's 62 Dodge Custom 880. The original 361 was very tired and leaked like a sieve. We still have it in case we need to put it back to original. He had a set of long rams that he always wanted to "try out". He finally found someone who'd do the trying for him.

Mainly what I need to photos of the linkage coming from the firewall to the pivot shaft on the ram. I've seen many pictures looking under the hood but that doesn't show me how the linkage is supposed to go.

I think I have it back to where it was before I pulled the old motor. But, the way I have it will not reach to the pivot on the long ram. I'm going to attempt to take a photo of what I have going on but recently I have not been able to upload photos. I'm going to dig out my old camera size them way down. I have not been able to use "paint" or whatever other programs are usually used to reduce them.

If anyone had photos of the linkages or maybe an old Chrysler illustration showing me how the part that pivots on the bracket on the firewall is supposed to go, that would help a lot.

I'll be back,

Thanks,

Wayne

So...I took a photo of the firewall with the linkage on it but it's a black firewall with black linkage....the photo just pretty much looks like a black thing. LOL I'll get a couple of more work lights hooked up in there and see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks,

Wayne

Wayne, in contrary what I said in my PM, I did modify the throttle linkage on the firewall.
I started looking at pic of my installation and noticed I extended the throttle linkage to end up more centered behind the engine.
Hope the pics are of some help to you.

I like it! I am going to do something similar. I'm going to make sure all the kick down linkage works correctly and put the arm out towards the end of the arm where I need it and make the rod connecting the two to the length it needs to be.

Thanks for posting the photos, very helpful!
